The Village of Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick numbers some 1733 inhabitants, of which 84 % are French-speaking. The municipality is located 34 km north of Moncton, which explains why it is a favored location for people seeking a peaceful life while remaining close to the big city.

Saint-Antoine was founded in 1832 and at the time was named Higho or Higho de Cocagne. In 1873, the parish was given the name Saint-Antoine-l'Ermite. The municipality was incorporated as the Village of Saint-Antoine in 1966.

There will be a municipal council public meeting on Tuesday May 29 at 7:30 pm in the council’s chamber. Welcome to all citizens.

The special spring garbage collection and the regular pick-up will be on Monday May 28 within the town limits. Please have items placed for pick-up at the curb for 6:30 am.

In May, a survey will be conducted by the Seniors and Special Needs Committee for the citizens 50 years of age or older to determine their perceptions, needs and preoccupations. The questionnaire, simple and short, will be distributed door to door by volunteers in our municipality.
